Bye Bye NetsDaily.

Since Netsdaily has decided to join the crappy world of SB Nation I will be taking over the news and rumors for Nets news. I am a proud member of DailySportsPages.com and encourage you to visit.

I will be working all weekend on this blog, and update it with RSS feeds and Nets news.

So I heard Kidd's interview with Mike Francesa & Chris Russo. Something is wrong! Whether it is Kidd's contract extension, or whether he wants a trade I really can't tell.

But here is what I do know.
Kidd deserves an extension with the Nets, but he should also remember that he is 34 and it just can't be a max contract. Secondly he wants 2 years, why? Did Gary Payton get a max contract from his teams when he was Kidd's Age? I am not saying Gary Payton is the best comparison but seriously Kidd's demand of two extra years at MAX MONEY is just ridiculous

Secondly, if Kidd does want a trade he needs to say it, so he can put (US) the fans in check. We don't know what's happening, but we do know that we are below .500 again and we are not playing anywhere close to where we should be playing. This is just not acceptable, and Kidd shouldn't accept this crap, either demand a trade for himself, or ask for help

Thirdly, I honestly don't think there is a problem within the team, players are not fighting internally. But there is a coaching problem, the coaches are not providing any sense of urgency. Notice I said coaches, that's because I am tired of Frank, I don't consider him a coach anymore, he is Kidd's pet. This is not good, Frank can't do anything without thinking of Kidd first. Shouldn't it be the other way round?

Lastly, if we trade anyone it has to be Vince, and at this point, I am willing to take a player like Penny Hardaway in return
To end. I am disappointed as we all are. And what makes it worse is that we lost to the Knicks, the JOKE of the NBA. and I am today ashamed of being a Nets fan. (This is the second time of my life I feel this way towards the Nets Franchise)

Thorn needs to hire Kiki NOW. Losing Ed was a blessing in disguise....but we need a replacement, because Ed had a few things going for the team.

2007 Draft for the Nets.

Well first off, I would like to say this is my firsts blog so bare with me.

I followed the Aches and Pains, the Ups and Downs, and the victories and losses of the New Jersey Nets since I was a child.

The Summer of 2007

Well firstly who are we gonna draft? Actually let me rephrase that, and say what are we gonna do with our 17th pick?

We need to trade up or down. Most people believe this is the way to go about the draft! The steals of the second round won't go so high up as 17, and the sleepers of this years draft won't fall to 17, unless it's Marcus Williams all over again.

So who are the guys that will see their stock fall this year, we all know who is going 1st and 2nd. But how about from 3rd to 16th.

Correy Brewer
Joakim Noah
Al Hortford
Julian Wright and Brandan Wright
Yi Jianlian.

These guys won't drop that far. I am tempted to add Conley Jr. to the mix just because of the havoc he is creating.

But the reality is, the rest is up for Grabs.

Be it from the USA. Spencer Hawes, Acie Law, Al Thornton, Jeff Green, Nick Young, Jason Smith etc...etc...

Then you have a slew of Internationals, starting with Tiago Splitter, Rudy Fernandez, the great Ante Tomic, Marco Belinelli etc...etc...

All these guys could be available. I would love to stress COULD be available.

So who do we draft? the best available? the long coveted PF? Do we trade up and take a chance on Noah, Brewer and co. or do we trade down? and by trade down I mean find a team like San Antonio, who has a late 1st round and an early 2nd round!

In high probability you will have 50% of the players still available when the Spurs pick! and this also means we get to give a shot at Sean Williams who many people think will break into the first round.

More to follow.
